Central's Ukraine team will join Calvary Baptist Church from Beaumont, Texas, to work with Pastor Vasily Povoroznyk who has been planting churches over the past thirteen years in area villages near Zhitomyr, Ukraine. Pastor Vasily has a deep burden for the souls of the people who live in the poor farming villages in the Zhitomyr region.  You will have the joy of making an eternal impact in the lives of many children through hosting several Vacation Bible Schools.

There is no greater joy and nothing more awesome than seeing God at work in the hearts of these children as they learn Bible verses and discover His love for them through our ministry. The team will go into various villages and invite people to evangelistic worship services, some of which are held in old buildings once used for communist propaganda meetings. You will learn and sing songs in Ukrainian, Russian and English for these evangelistic services.  You will have opportunities to share your personal testimony, and one of our team leaders will preach the message at each of the services.

After flying into Kiev, you will travel by bus to Zhitomyr, where you will stay in the homes of some of Vasily’s church members. Students who have completed 7th grade are welcome to go with a parent.  The Lord will do a work in and through both of your lives as you go on mission with your children.
