WIDOW'S HOPE

Several times a year the widows come together for a time of growing in Christ and sharing God's faithfulness. It is a time of fellowship, encouragement, and support for the widows in our church. Special programs, day trips, and dinners are scheduled throughout the year. These ladies also participate in community service projects, such as Discovery and donating to the church food pantry.

To be added to the Widow's Hope Mailing List contact Jennifer at 979.776.9977 ext 204 or  .

The Serve Team is available each spring and fall semester to help our widows around the house. We can help with jobs such as mowing, weed eating, cleaning out the garage, washing windows, house cleaning, minor home repairs, etc.

If you have a request for the Serve Team, please contact Jennifer at 979.776.9977 ext 204 or .

SHUT-INS AND HOMEBOUND

In this ministry, volunteers are connected with a shut-in member of our church who is unable to leave their home. Volunteers visit, send letters and cards, pray for, and run errands for the shut-in if possible.

We also have a group of volunteers that leads a church service every Sunday morning at area nursing homes for citizens there who are unable to leave to attend a church. We always need people who want to volunteer to lead singing, play piano, give a devotional, or be a helper one Sunday a month.

If you are interested in serving the shut-ins and homebound in our community, please contact Jennifer at

CANCER SUPPORT

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. -1 Corinthians 1:3-4

The Cancer Support Ministry is composed of cancer survivors, caregivers and supporters who seek to share Scripture, Prayers and Encouragement with those coping with the diagnosis and treatment of cancer.

If you or a family member have been diagnosed with cancer, we would love to know so we can pray for you and offer support. If you contact us, we will send you a package containing resources to help you during this time. And if you would like, we will put you in contact with a member of our Cancer Support Ministry leadership to walk along side you during this difficult time. Family names and medical information will be held in strict confidence. This information will be used by the committee and volunteers to minister to the family. At no time will anyone discuss medical options or procedures.
