S.O.S.
Disaster Relief

Disaster Relief Ministry is to provide ways for Christians to minister to people who are hurting due to disasters. We seek to provide organization, equipment, and strategy for committed volunteers to help affected individuals/families rebuild their lives and homes. We partner with the Southern Baptists of Texas Convention Disaster Relief program in aiding communities in Texas and the rest of the United States who have been directly affected by a natural disaster.

Disaster relief volunteers from CBC and SBTC churches across Texas respond in crisis situations, such as tornados, hurricanes, and fires. We offer trainings in order to equip our members to be ready to respond to a natural disaster. Our mission is to share God’s love through word and deed. We work with various disaster organizations in order to achieve this goal such as the American Red Cross and The Salvation Army.

Central also has a group of men who are chainsaw trained through SBTC. We respond to needs in our community to cut down trees and remove fallen trees.

If you are interested in being a part of the chainsaw ministry or volunteering for disaster relief, please let us know by contacting for more information.

Honor Our Troops

We are excited to partner with the Honor Our Troops (H.O.T) organization.

Often times U.S. soldiers from around the world never receive any cards, letters, or care packages from home. H.O.T. partners with over 52 local schools and 15 local churches to raise funds and assemble care packages to send to our troops in 12 military bases across 12 countries. H.O.T. sends 100 to 200 care packages out per week.

Central Church is hosting a H.O.T. Sunday on March 1, 2020. If you would like to help with the event by assisting with forms, processing payments, or taking snapshots of individuals/families sponsoring a box, please let us know by filling out the form below.

Military Database

The Missions and Legacy Adults Ministries need your help to put together a database of all our military personnel here at Central. If you know someone that is a member serving or you have a family member serving in the military, we want to know.

Please submit contact information and let us know how to pray for them as well. Care Packages will be sent to military personnel serving abroad to remind them that Central cares and loves them!
