STUDY & CHILDCARE REGISTRATION

Tuesday morning Bible studies are a special time for women of all ages from our church and the community to come together to study God’s Word, to be edified through fellowship, and to embrace God’s grace. This semester our Bible studies will be centered around the need and desire for God to transform our hearts to be more like Him. We recognize that we are not perfect, but we also know we need to repent of our sin and look toward the cross every day. Please see below for more information on each of these studies and a link (if necessary) to purchase your study. Childcare is available however registration is required and closes on January 19.

Please note regarding child care: Women wanting childcare for children outside of their household will be admitted on a case-by-case basis. They must have a waiver signed by child’s parent/guardian to attend. Women who register after the childcare registration deadline will be admitted on a first come, first serve basis, as space allows. 1 & 2 Kings – Led by Michelle Bennett & Corinne Mobley – Room TBD

The books of 1 and 2 Kings provide an account of the death of David, the reign of his son Solomon, and the decline and division of the Kingdom of Israel after Solomon by focusing on the spiritual successes and failures of each kingdom. The books also explain why Israel and Judah lost the Lord’s protection and were conquered. As we learn about these lessons we can liken the lessons recorded by the authors to your own life and learn how to live in a way that allows you to receive the Lord’s protection and avoid succumbing to temptations. You’ll need to bring your bible, pen and a journal. 

The Common Rule – Led by Rachel Tipton – Room TBD

The Common Rule offers four daily and four weekly habits, designed to help us create new routines and transform frazzled days into lives of love for God and neighbor.  These habits are “common” not only because they are ordinary, but also because they can be practiced in community. As you embark on these life-giving practices, you will find the freedom and rest for your soul that comes from aligning belief in Jesus with the practices of Jesus. You’ll need to bring your study, bible and a pen.

Becoming: A Study on Sanctification – Led by Regan & Kay Kay White – Room TBD

We want to learn; we want to grow; we want to change—in so many areas of life. But we often forget so quickly, and we default into the same sin patterns over and over again. And living the Christian life can start to feel so discouraging, like just another unattainable goal to work toward. It can feel exhausting, like our efforts aren’t enough, that there’s always more we should be doing. If you’ve ever felt these things, you are not alone. What if there were hope, real hope, that things could truly be different? What if we could gather in authentic relationship to encourage and remind each other with grace and truth? Becoming is a Bible study that leads you to discover how sanctification is the beautiful picture of God’s power to make you holy and whole, to become who God already sees you to be. You’ll need to bring your study, bible and a pen. You will be provided a study at your first meeting, please bring $10 for your workbook.
